Indeed, having read practically everything I could lay my hands on about EFT, this book however is the very best by far considering its clarity, theory, practicality, exercises and cross-reference. A masterpiece!

Not that useful. Also is very “UK” in its verbiage and spelling, which in itself is not fatal, but is also a distraction. There are several choices that are much better: Carol Look’s “Attracting Abundance With EFT” and Patricia Carrington’s “Try It On Everything.”

I first learned EFT in about 2002 from the materials on Gary Craig’s website and the DVDs(CDs then)which he sold at reasonable prices. And, he believed so strongly in the importance of the information being spread far and wide that he gave purchasers permission to copy them up to 100 times as long as you gave the copies away for free. How often do you see that happening these days? Now, we have various people who are quite well versed in EFT and have their own pet specialties, like Carrington’s Choices Method and Carol Look’s “EFT for Abundance,” both good in their way but hardly as complete as “EFT for Dummies.” The author covers in detail how to do this odd tapping process and answers questions you are likely to have as you learn.
I think that reading “EFT for Dummies” can give you more than the basics and if you were to pair it with Craig’s DVDs, you’d complement what you’ve learned in the book and would be able to use EFT in no time, both for yourself and others. There is a caveat with helping others, though. Some people with severe mental/emotional problems need the assistance of a therapist to work through these issues with or without EFT. For the DVDs, go to [...]. I think they can be borrowed from the website’s library.
My only quarrel with “EFT for Dummies” is that they use a different pattern of tapping than that used here in the US. The 8 point style which seems to be commonly accepted here in the US is available on Carol Look’s website – look for a pdf download which has diagram of this 8 point sequence. This sequence is easier to use. However, there are many styles of meridian tapping, rubbing or otherwise stimulating the points and most are likely to be helpful. Short and simple is better and it works!
I helped a woman get rid of a snake phobia last week in about 15 minutes. She hadn’t even been able to say the word snake before. She was amazed, said it was too easy and questioned whether it was real! I’ll be following up but I expect she will have little or no trouble with it and if she does, we can clear up the remaining aspects easily. Not everything is resolved that easily but it does help many problems.
